Home Heating Oil Cooperative:
 For more than twenty years, our members have SAVED MONEY on home heating oil they buy from the same full-service dealers delivering to their neighbors! Self-Reliance contracts with selected full-service fuel oil dealers throughout southeastern Massachusetts to charge our members no more than a low, fixed profit margin over and above each dealer’s wholesale cost. Our contracts prevent any increase in this profit margin. This means prices to our members can vary, up and down, only as wholesale prices vary. We track the wholesale prices every day, so we always know what our members will pay.
You, the member-customer, make all delivery arrangements directly with your cooperating dealer, and pay the Self-Reliance member co-op price.
The combined purchasing power of our membership attracts local full-service dealers to our cooperative. Dealers save on their own marketing costs, and are able to pass the savings along to Self-Reliance members. All participating dealers offer complete service, and a range of payment choices.

Auto Insurance Discounts:
Arbella Insurance, a reputable Massachusetts-based insurer offers a 5% discount on auto insurance to Self-Reliance members who qualify for Safe Driver Insurance Plan (SDIP) Step 9. These discounts are available from independent agencies throughout the Commonwealth...contact Self-Reliance for a current list of participating agencies.

Long Term Care Insurance Discount:
John Hancock Financial Services offers Self-Reliance members a 10% discount on premiums for existing already-discounted Long Term Care insurance policies, and a 5% discount on new-policy premiums, through their authorized John Hancock agents.
Long Distance Calling:
This calling plan developed for Self-Reliance offers rates of $0.039 per minute for state-to-state calling and $0.059 per minute for in-state long distance calling. There are no monthly fees, no minimum number of calls required, and no contracts. Low-cost calling card, international, and personal toll-free number options are available.

E - The Environmental Magazine is a bimonthly "clearinghouse” of information, news and resources for people concerned about the environment who want to know “What can I do?” to make a difference.
